Chapter 03 · How we test
The usability shelf, scored without sponsorship.
Six observable markers, weighted equally. We log the test, the tester and the date. We publish what passed and what failed.
What the six markers measure
The six markers on the usability shelf are: lobby load time, sort clarity, drop button visibility, pool math accuracy, chat moderation (especially phone-number blocking), and withdrawal screen clarity (KYC + payout ETA). Each marker is scored on a fixed scale; the scale is dated; the operator is named.
We do not publish a single composite "score". A single score hides the markers that fail. We publish the per-marker score so readers can read the marker they care about. A reader who cares about withdrawal speed reads the withdrawal marker; a reader who cares about chat moderation reads that marker.
What we do not measure
We do not measure win rates, payout rates, or bonus returns. Win rates are session-dependent, time-dependent and player-dependent. We will quote operator terms where they exist; we will remain neutral on outcomes.
How often we re-test
Each named platform is re-tested on a 30-day rotation. The re-test log is at the foot of every review. If a platform changes a marker between rotations, the change is dated and the prior score is preserved.
If a platform changes hands, the editorial line is to re-test from scratch under the new operator and re-issue the review under the new operator name. The prior review is archived with a redirect to the new review.
How we disclose conflicts
The Play now button on this site is an affiliate link. The affiliate disclosure is on every page that carries the button. The editorial line is the line: a platform is scored on its usability, not on its affiliate status. We will note a poor usability score on a platform we link to; we will note a strong usability score on a platform we do not link to. The scores and the links are independent.
